Message from the President

Thank you all in advance!

Please let me take this opportunity to welcome each and every family to the school year 2009-2010. I look forward to seeing you all at the first Home & School meeting on Monday, September 14th! If you’re unable to attend please watch for the minutes that will be sent home- a tremendous amount of information will be shared with much more to come in the near future.

The Home School Association is made up of a terrific group of people who are all parents of the children at St. Joseph School. The Association is not just made up of 5-10 volunteers who oversee all the activities and committees, this Association is about the entire student body family working together to help improve many aspects of our school for the children. There are many different activities, fundraisers and events that the Home & School oversees. In order for all of these things to have success, we need continuous support in many ways. Whether you can volunteer on a committee, go the extra step on selling a fundraiser or by simply providing support to all those who are able.

The goal that we are trying to accomplish this year is difficult. As a group we need to work together to accomplish our financial responsibility to the school in order to help offset any excessive tuition increase. By everyone participating and maybe even going a little beyond, this can and will be accomplished. Several families had approached me in order to help volunteer for different activities, for that I thank you. Your outreach is greatly appreciated and I hope that many more families will be able to do the same. Therefore one of the ways that I would like to do that is by email notification. This however requires that we have your ernail address. In order to do this you can respond in one of two ways. Below is my email address, you can send me an email telling me your family name along with your child(s) name and grade. The other option would be to write a note and send it back through the weekly communication envelope through the backpack.

Please feel free to contact me with whatever suggestions, ideas or even complaints that I might be able to assist you with. Anyone willing to help out with any programs please contact me ASAP!

Always remember, communication is the basis for all successful relationships. This is however a two way street and all are welcome!
