Following a delicious buffet provided by Southside Catering (with the culinary talent of Guy Malley), more than 70 family and friends celebrated the accomplishments of the 67 SJS athletes who competed in boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, girls softball, boys baseball and cheerleading.

The evening’s festivities continued with a video montage of the various teams’ seasons, created by Mike Lathrop, alumni from the Class of 2004. Awards were then presented to the athletes by the coaches; Mark Monnerat (boys basketball), Pietro Rosato (girls soccer), Bob Houle (girls softball), Mike Aldieri (boys soccer), Nancy Deschenes (cheerleading) and Mike Pirog (girls basketball/boys baseball).

The evening also included a spirited raffle of 35 items. The sports-themed items ranged from Frisbees and Water Bottles to Red Sox and Yankee Mr. Potato Heads.

Congratulations to all SJS Athletes and their families and a fond farewell to our graduating 8th Grade Athletes: Nick C., Henry G., Matt J., Paul L., Faith M., Dan P., Reid R., Phil R., Cody V., Lindsey W., and Chris Z.
