St. Joseph School is the oldest parochial school in Bristol, having celebrated 100 years of Catholic Education in 2003!

The St. Joseph School Pre-K Program was the first Catholic School Pre-Kindergarten program established in Bristol, and will celebrate 20 years in 2008!

St. Joseph School established an all-day Kindergarten in 2004 and an all-day Pre-K 4 Program in 2007.  Both half-day and full-day Pre-K 4 and Kindergarten options are currently offered to meet the needs of our school families.

St. Joseph School successfully completed a 2 Year Self-Study and formal Re-Accreditation process in the fall of 2006. St. Joseph School has been accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges since 1996.

The Class of 2008 is the 100th graduating 8th grade class of St. Joseph School!

St. Joseph School Principal, Mark Monnerat, has led the school for 21 years as its first and only lay principal.  In 2007 he was awarded the 2007-08 Hartford Archdiocesan Distinguished Elementary School Principal Award. In addition, Mr. Monnerat has been selected as the 2008 New England Region recipient of the Dr. Robert J. Kealey Distinguished Principal Award by the National Catholic Education Association in Washington, D.C.

The St. Joseph School faculty has over 230 combined years of classroom teaching experience!

Most of the faculty members at St. Joseph School are State-certified and have Masters Degrees.

St. Joseph School faculty and staff have taught at the school an average of 11 years!

The teacher to student ratio at St. Joseph School is currently 1:20.

A 6-station Science Lab, which accommodates 30 students, was dedicated in the spring of 2007 at St. Joseph School. The school’s 35-station Computer Lab was completed and dedicated in 2003.

The 2007-08 tuition at St. Joseph School for children of active parishioners in grades K-8 equates to less than $10 per day!

Over $25,000 in tuition assistance and scholarships was awarded to St. Joseph School families in 2007!

In 2006, the Valedictorian at Central High School and Salutatorian at St. Paul High School were graduates of St. Joseph School. In 2005, a St. Joseph School graduate was the Valedictorian at St. Paul High School.
